One Potato Two

I saw on MangaCast that Foxy Lady is coming out in May.
Since Company T almost never announces new titles via a press release,
I'm always on the lookout for their "mini-announcements."

Usually I check their schedule here.
This time the announcement came through Diamond Previews.


The story is about Jin, an heir to a shrine, and Kogane, a half-demon fox-girl who wants to marry Jin so that she can become a full human.


The original Japanese title is very long...Shippu Karen Jinrai Komusume!
I'm glad they shortened it.

Barefoot Waltz is out.



Shingyoji is way hot.
The artist really likes the Shingyoji / Misu couple, so maybe that's why?

Finished title T.

It was a little creepy because it's sort of a scary story, and I heard noises outside my house.
(I was working on it at 4am in the morning).

I'm glad I wasn't alone in the house...


Anyway, I'm glad I finished this title because it's one less book I have to take and bring back.

I will be finishing up With the Light #7 in Japan.

Now I'll go to sleep in wake up in 1.5 hours to leave for the airport.
At least I'll sleep well on the plane!

The last volume of the series (and the only volume I translated), Innocent W #3 is out today.

Who is the highest witch?

This is a mix of different kinds of stories.
I don't have the Japanese or English version of the manga with me here, so I don't remember the details...
But it was a fun book.

I got an email from my editor from Company DR, and I'm trying to figure out a mysterious line in one of the manga I worked on.

There's absolutely no information on the net, so right now I'm emailing strangers in Mixi, the social networking site (like a Japanese MySpace but safer).

I hope I get something out of this!

According to Amazon, today should be the release date for Lovers in the Night.

I guess they announced what I've been calling Title H.
(H for Hadashi no Waltz).

It will be called Barefoot Waltz?
Not sure now.
MangaCast has it up for Autumn Waltz, which I think is a better title.
No one is barefoot in the story dancing, if I recall correctly.


The first story arc:
Takumi and Gie's school invites a violinist to come play at their school. Takumi is a big fan of the prodigy, which makes Gie a bit uneasy.

The second story arc:
Takumi and Gie are right in the middle of their school festival. Their class is serving sweets to lure in the girls. The plan works, but all the girls are there for Gie.
Then one of the girls asks Takumi to deliver a love letter to Gie. Takumi does, but Gie doesn't take it well.
In this story, the supposedly popular couple Shingyoji and Misu show up.


I don't know when Barefoot Waltz is coming out, but June Pride is due out in September.

Gravitation EX #1 is released today.



I said it before, but I only worked on about 30 pages.
I don't think I'm even credited.
But still, that doesn't mean I can't promote it here.


I only read the original series once, and a long time ago, so I don't really remember the story.

I just remember the s&m relationship they had and I felt sorry for the main character.

I don't know which part of the book I worked on for EX #1.
It was a scene with the main character shooting machine guns at someone while going to a hospital...or something.

I worked on it back in October.

Anyway, please look for it!

My first manga with Company T was recently announced.

The original title was "Ai towa Yoru ni Kizuku Mono."

Looks like this:



The title means "Love is something you realize at night" or something along that line.
It can be interpreted as "You realize love at night" or "You fall in love at night."
Either way, it's a long title.
Even the Japanese title is long.

So...
They will be releasing it as "Lovers in the Night."

Please look for it in May.

I finished title H.
I just have to do some formatting stuff and it's ready to be turned in.

Title H is one of my later deadlines, but since it was the easiest for me I did it first.

That way I won't feel so overwhelmed with all of the work I have.

Title H is semi-announced, but since I don't see it on the publisher's website, I'll keep it a secret.

I really never know when I can openly talk about my projects, because sometimes it's really unclear if it's been announced.

Usually I'll wait for the publisher's website to put it up, but Amazon is faster.

Even if it is up on Amazon, I try to wait until the cover image is uploaded or something.

So currently there are about 2 titles up on Amazon, but I'm still waiting for the cover images.

Another title I'll be working on soon was announced, I heard, at a convention, but I'm still waiting for confirmation on the website.

I finished Innocent W #3 because I'm feeling a little bit better.

I still have to take drugs though.

And I still can't talk much.
Which is torture because I love to talk.

Even if it is mostly word vomit.


Anyway, I'm glad I'm done with Innocent W because now I can eat spicy tuna while working.

The release date is not set yet, but volume 2 is coming out soon, in January.
(I didn't work on it though).
