I injured my wrist in tennis.
So I can't work and I can't blog.
It's really sad.

I hope it doesn't last a long time, because I still have 3 or 4 projects this month.
I'm working on another fanbook.
I think it's still a secret...I'm not sure, so I won't give the details.
Last time for Genshiken I had to deal with 9 volumes of Japanese and English manga.
This time is a little bit better, because it's only 7 volumes.
But it's still a lot of work.
I have a pretty small desk, so my tiny desk is covered with manga right now.
And those who have seen my desk...it's messy.
So the manga keep knocking things over, falling to the floor...
I was thinking of moving to the kotatsu to work on the fanbook, but then my sister would get mad that I'm taking over the living room again.
(And I already do).
I got my order form for Japanese May comics, and there's a lot coming in!
I tend to look at the excel sheet by author.
Sometimes I buy a book just because I like the author, even if I never heard of the book.
(Well, I'll look at the magazine it was serialized in to see it it matches my age level too).
Some authors I bought without hesitation for May are:
Ryo Ikuemi (author of Kiyoku Yawaku)
Moyoco Anno (author of Hataraki Man)
I would buy things from Chiho Saito, Setona Mizushiro, and Marimo Ragawa too, among others.
I'm really happy about the May books because Chiho Saito wrote a sequel to Anastasia Club.
Yay!
It did seem unfinished...
I can't wait for May!
I have 3 manga to finish until then, but perhaps all of those manga will be my reward.
Happy Easter!
I got back from my trip and had a bunch of work emails.
Usually I don't get that many work emails...
I didn't have internet for about 3 days, but I was surprised I was able to tolerate it.
Maybe because I was really tired everyday and tennis-ed out?
Anyway, one email was about some questions in Yozakura Quartet #3.
Simple enough.
Another one was regarding some changes in my deadline schedule with Company BEI.
Instead of working on Code Geass #2, I'll be working on something else first.
I also got a work order from Company TP for Foxy Lady #3.
So I will have a pretty busy week.
I didn't work at all last week...
I finished a project today, so I'm starting on two simultaneously this week.
One is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion manga #2.
Another one is unannounced (sort of), so I'll just call it Title SG.
This is also the second volume.
I'm going to have no internet for the rest of the week, so work might go slow...
I finished a tiny project today.
I'm not sure if USA audiences will see it...but I think it was pretty interesting so let's hope so.
I'm still working on multiple projects right now, and at the same time preparing for my trip next week.
It does look like I will have to take a little bit of work to my trip.
Shiku shiku shiku...
I was finally getting rid of the large pile of manga behind me, but then I got more manga this past two weeks.
So I was down to four manga...now I have eight that I haven't started yet.
Right now all I have are manga work so it's pretty good, I guess.
But in about a month I'll get non-manga work.
On a happier note, I got my personal manga (Japanese) too.
Shanimuni Go #28!
Reading this manga makes me want to go out and play tennis...
I haven't played since Sunday...grr...
I finished title T #2 for Company TP.
I finished a day early, which is pretty good.
I was looking at my calendar and I have a deadline every week (nothing new!) until April 22.
I just got email that more work is coming my way, so it might be until the end of April, who knows?
I have 3 deadlines the week of March 30. (Two on the 31, one on April 2).
No, I'm not complaining!
I think I was punished for planning a trip in March.
I'm going to go watch a tennis tournament for 3 days.
So I'm hoping I can finish two of my deadlines next week.
Let's hope I can get a lot done this week.
I have a singles match early Sunday though.
I'm going to hate Daylight Savings...
SILK is out today.
I didn't translate the movie, but I did translate a tiny clip of an interview of one of the Japanese actresses.
I forgot her name...Miki something.
She plays...Madame something.
If you have a chance, please check it out.
This is a little bit old, but I saw that the postage rate is going up again.
(May 12. Mark your calendars!)
Sheesh.
I still haven't used up all of my 37 cent stamps.
When it was 39 cents, I bought a bunch of 2 cent stamps.
Then I bought 4 cent stamps.
Now I have to go get 5 cent stamps.
I already have them, but sheesh.
Sheeeeeeeesh.
On a different note, I got an email from Animate today.
I guess they're checking the email I wrote on the application for the Animate card I got way back.
I hope they don't check the address...because it's the old address of Company G, but a little altered.
I have been trying to keep off the computer for the past few days because of my pinky.
I played tennis on Saturday and Sunday.
My league is starting this Saturday.
I also played a lot of DS and watched a bunch of DVDs.
And re-read Yuukan Club, because it came back after my mom lent it to her friend.
So I guess I should be okay to work now.
I got notice of work coming at the end of the month today.
I also got notice of some tiny work coming this week.
Will I be able to handle it with tendinitis (I'm assuming it is)?
Only time will tell.
My left pinky hurts from holding down the shift key with it too much.
I especially use it when I type out sound effects.
With the exception of Company YP, I type all sound effects in capitals.
(For With the Light I type in capitals too).
KABOOM
CHOMP
PIT PAT
WOOSH
And I guess working too much finally did something to my pinky.
[sarcasm]Perfect timing[/sarcasm] too.
My COBRA from my last job just ran out in December.
I'm currently looking for a new plan.
You are supposed to look for a new plan before your old one runs out.
But UniCare, A Healthy Dose of InnovationTM, had let my COBRA run an extra 8 months and didn't tell me when they noticed that they let it go for so long.
And they yanked it without notice.
A sad story, yes.
So for today I'm typing in a weird way.
I use either my left ring finger or my forefinger to type anything I would usually use my left pinky for.
Work is going very slow...
Our condo is going through fumigation.
So I was homeless until 3pm, my check-in time.
I went all the way to Torrance (20 min drive) to buy birthday gifts for a friend.
I went to three different places to buy gifts for one person!
Now that's love.
I had lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Torrance.
Peruvian food.
Mmm.
I usually don't go to restaurants to eat lunch (I usually make lunch at home or order to go).
Besides, it's expensive.
When in Torrance I passed by three of my clients' offices:
Company A, Company AP, and Company BV.
I didn't stop by because I looked like crap.
Speaking of Company AP, they called me today.
Asking me about the progress of Walkin' Butterfly...because I didn't turn it in yet.
I was sleeping on it to check it one last time before I send it.
I went to Sports Chalet to buy t-shirts, but they didn't have it.
Grr!
I did buy a t-shirt for my voice actor friend Stephanie.
Her birthday is April, so I have to keep it around until then.
By this time I was really tired.
I don't stay out this long usually...
I'm not used to outside, so I would run 2 errands and call it a day.
This freelance gig is really unhealthy.
I checked in in the afternoon and spent all day watching the Law & Order franchise while working on Kitchen Princess.
The author wrote that she used Excel for the first time for this volume.
My friend Ards would be shocked.
This is such a boring entry I shouldn't post it.
Oh well!
