Free na Futari

My sister bought me a manga and said, "look, this is a manga about your life!"

It wasn't.

But it was similar...enough?

It's called "Free na Futari," a manga depicting the life of a couple who are both freelancers.
The writer, Kondo, is an illustrator.
Her most famous work is Rirakkuma, I think.
Her husband, Taroichi, is a web designer/children's book author, etc.

The book is about the life of a freelancer, such as not having the stability of being a "salary man," choosing your own insurance, doing your best to stay healthy, etc.

But it also talks about the pros of being freelance, such as making a little more money, having your own time, etc.

Freelancers have their own time? When? When?

I guess I am not to that point yet...

ふ〜

I actually had free time in August, for the first time this year.

Yay.

I'm hoping it doesn't come back to haunt me when I'm in Japan.

I guess I had time last month... Since I was out of the country eating and watching koshien for a while. But I think I like being a salaryman most of the time.

I like being able to travel though... Even if I have to take work with me.

It's nice that you can travel with this kind of work.... but it's also harder to relax. I really only get a few minutes a day (like now, before I go to bed) to relax... but I probably need to discipline myself to 1) work faster and 2) turn down projects.
