One Potato Two

Autumn NorCal Trip 2011 Day 4

There's no Day 3 because I didn't do anything.
I didn't even leave the house, except to go get dinner.

So, Day 4.

I drove up to Tartine's Bakery.
The same place I went to during my trip in February.
Otsuka-san of TRIGGER told me of this place.
I love their croissants!!

I then went to Viz to visit my two friends.
I went to lunch with them to catch up.

I didn't eat much because I was still full from the croissant.

Then I went to get some Dungeness crab and went home to work.

...Yeah, another not-so-eventful day.

Autumn NorCal Trip 2011 Day 2

Day 2 was all about Yaoi Con 2011.

After registration, we went to the Guest of Honor Fusanosuke Inariya panel.

Y Con 2011

I don't remember much about the panel...

Next was the SuBLime panel.

Y Con 2011

They're going to be releasing a lot of titles.

I then went to the Fusanosuke Inariya autograph session.
Actually, I didn't get anything signed.
I was just keeping my friend company.
Inariya-sensei signed her name like she was signing her name on legal documents, so I found that funny.
She also drew a cat, since she loves cats.

I didn't do much for the rest of the day...
I went to support my friend's friends' panel for Teahouse. (NSFW so no link...)
But the room they had was small and had way more people in line for it.
So we couldn't get in.

At night, I was kindly invited to dinner by Deb Aoki and T from Yen Press.
It was a group of artists, industry, freelancers, and press.
It was a lot of fun!

I went to the Bishonen Auction with some people, but after the third act I got bored and went to go watch some guys play Street Fighter instead.
Honestly, this was more fun.

And finally, some random pictures.

Autumn NorCal Trip 2011 Day 1

My semi-annual trip to NorCal!
Although this is my third trip in 2011 because I came an extra time when I accompanied my Japanese clients to go to Pixar.

I'll be going to Yaoi Con tomorrow (if I can buy the ticket) for work.

Today I mostly stayed in (at my wonderful friend F's place) and worked on a deadline.
I can't announce it yet, but when it comes out I'll post about it.
Maybe...Honestly, I really don't want my name associated with this project...

And as always, just as I'm away on a business trip, I get a couple of emails with more potential work.
Hopefully something will come out of it.

We [Heart] Performing for Japan

We Heart Japan Thumb

I forgot to take my camera, so I don't have any pictures...

But the event was a success!
I didn't watch. I was out in the lobby the entire time.

I think there are other reports out there, tweets and all,
so I won't say much here.

I was a zombie this day because I was crazy sleepy.

I got to catch up with some industry friends, so that was good.

Please watch out for our future events on our website!
