I was working on Speed Grapher #3 today, but my wrist was hurting so I didn't do much.
Maybe...30 pages?
My wrist was hurting since yesterday, since I finished a file for the video game.
I had about 500 lines to do toward the end of the day, and I was going at a rate of 100 lines per half hour.
At least I finished the file...the others (there are 4 translators working on this game) are done with their part, so I felt pressured.
Now I just have the HUGE file to do which is 3800 lines.
I have all of next week (5 days) to finish it.
760 lines per day...
Eek.
This weekend I'll be working on Speed Grapher #3 and Kitchen Princess #9.
And after the video game project is done, I have a week to work on TOKKO #3.
And after that...
I'll stop thinking about it for now.
Phew!
I finished the thing for Code Geass.
Sort of.
I still have translation notes that I'll be doing in the next few days.
The project is already announced, but I'm not sure of some details (dates and stuff) so I'll wait until AX comes and goes to talk about it.
It was a tough 2 weeks.
Especially with the video game work and Wimbledon.
(I would lose about 4 hours each day watching Wimbledon).
I still have 2 more tough weeks while I work on 7000 lines of video game text and Kitchen Princess #9.
I just got more work from Company YP.
So currently I have about 9 manga sitting on my desk.
I'm supposed to get the other Code Geass manga, Suzaku's Counterattack soon too.
Shiku shiku shiku...
Right after I accepted the video game job (and started on it today), I found out that I have another huge project that is due around the same time.
Bombs keep exploding!
Actually, they are more like land mines...
The video game is a pretty big project.
There are four translators working on it simultaneously.
So I'll be driving out to the Company A office about 3 times a week to work on it.
Gasoline bill going up...
Other than these two big projects, I'll be finishing Speed Grapher #3 and doing Code Geass DVD booklets #4, #5, and #6.
No, I'm not complaining...
I just hope I can catch up with July projects after I finish these, or I won't be going to Comic-Con!
I haven't done much video game work in a while and didn't expect any for the rest of the year.
But a client contacted me just now to ask how my schedule looked.
I would NEVER say no to a video game client, so of course I told him I'm pretty much free.
He'll give me more detail later, but it looks like it's going to be due within the month of June.
I have two projects for June, which is a really slow month.
So I am pretty much free.
Let's hope it's a video game that I have interest in.
No more EverQuest or anything similar, please...
At least this conversation is pushing me to finish Speed Grapher.
Even with the Company TP news that came out today, I should finish this...right?
My wrist still hurts.
I've been working a little bit more now...I have about 80 pages left on Title T from Company DR.
But maybe I worked a little too hard...it's hurting now.
It's hurting writing this blog.
So I will stop now.
This is so sad!
I just got 3 new projects today. Yay!
I injured my wrist in tennis.
So I can't work and I can't blog.
It's really sad.

I hope it doesn't last a long time, because I still have 3 or 4 projects this month.
I'm working on another fanbook.
I think it's still a secret...I'm not sure, so I won't give the details.
Last time for Genshiken I had to deal with 9 volumes of Japanese and English manga.
This time is a little bit better, because it's only 7 volumes.
But it's still a lot of work.
I have a pretty small desk, so my tiny desk is covered with manga right now.
And those who have seen my desk...it's messy.
So the manga keep knocking things over, falling to the floor...
I was thinking of moving to the kotatsu to work on the fanbook, but then my sister would get mad that I'm taking over the living room again.
(And I already do).
I got my order form for Japanese May comics, and there's a lot coming in!
I tend to look at the excel sheet by author.
Sometimes I buy a book just because I like the author, even if I never heard of the book.
(Well, I'll look at the magazine it was serialized in to see it it matches my age level too).
Some authors I bought without hesitation for May are:
Ryo Ikuemi (author of Kiyoku Yawaku)
Moyoco Anno (author of Hataraki Man)
I would buy things from Chiho Saito, Setona Mizushiro, and Marimo Ragawa too, among others.
I'm really happy about the May books because Chiho Saito wrote a sequel to Anastasia Club.
Yay!
It did seem unfinished...
I can't wait for May!
I have 3 manga to finish until then, but perhaps all of those manga will be my reward.
Happy Easter!
I got back from my trip and had a bunch of work emails.
Usually I don't get that many work emails...
I didn't have internet for about 3 days, but I was surprised I was able to tolerate it.
Maybe because I was really tired everyday and tennis-ed out?
Anyway, one email was about some questions in Yozakura Quartet #3.
Simple enough.
Another one was regarding some changes in my deadline schedule with Company BEI.
Instead of working on Code Geass #2, I'll be working on something else first.
I also got a work order from Company TP for Foxy Lady #3.
So I will have a pretty busy week.
I didn't work at all last week...
I finished a project today, so I'm starting on two simultaneously this week.
One is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion manga #2.
Another one is unannounced (sort of), so I'll just call it Title SG.
This is also the second volume.
I'm going to have no internet for the rest of the week, so work might go slow...
I finished a tiny project today.
I'm not sure if USA audiences will see it...but I think it was pretty interesting so let's hope so.
I'm still working on multiple projects right now, and at the same time preparing for my trip next week.
It does look like I will have to take a little bit of work to my trip.
Shiku shiku shiku...
I was finally getting rid of the large pile of manga behind me, but then I got more manga this past two weeks.
So I was down to four manga...now I have eight that I haven't started yet.
Right now all I have are manga work so it's pretty good, I guess.
But in about a month I'll get non-manga work.
On a happier note, I got my personal manga (Japanese) too.
Shanimuni Go #28!
Reading this manga makes me want to go out and play tennis...
I haven't played since Sunday...grr...
I finished title T #2 for Company TP.
I finished a day early, which is pretty good.
I was looking at my calendar and I have a deadline every week (nothing new!) until April 22.
I just got email that more work is coming my way, so it might be until the end of April, who knows?
I have 3 deadlines the week of March 30. (Two on the 31, one on April 2).
No, I'm not complaining!
I think I was punished for planning a trip in March.
I'm going to go watch a tennis tournament for 3 days.
So I'm hoping I can finish two of my deadlines next week.
Let's hope I can get a lot done this week.
I have a singles match early Sunday though.
I'm going to hate Daylight Savings...
